Mommy Andrew Morning
Andrew stayed home from school and I took Friday morning off for some ‘Mommy- Andrew time.’ It’s bothered me that I couldn’t remember the last time Andrew and I did some together, just the two of us, that didn’t involve doctor’s appointments. So when I learned that the local fire station was opening it’s doors on Friday morning for my Mom’s group, what better excuse to play hooky together!
Given Andrew’s love of trucks, trains and all things machine, it’s no surprise that he loved the fire station. He was totally captivated by the fireman trying on his uniform, loved climbing in and out of the truck and showed off his own fireman hat and extinguisher when the fireman modeled his (I was storing it in my purse for that very opportunity). When it came time for questions, Andrew promptly raised his hand and asked ‘Do you have a fire dog?!’ He was disappointed to learn there wasn’t a Dalmatian waiting in the wings BUT I was so impressed with him in that moment!

We rounded out the morning with cookies at the bakery and a trip to the library to pick out new books! I think it was a really special morning for both of us and I can’t wait to for the next ‘Mommy-Andrew morning!’

It’s new and it’s annoying.
Please take note Teddy, the train table is neither a climbing wall nor a bench. -

Sun Shining & Fire Pitting
An 80 degree day and small sample of summer meant the water table, picnics, roasting hot dogs and making s’mores! ?

PS- picnics are officially my favorite! 6 kids, so many snacks & 0 crumbs I’m my house!

Peace Out Pink!
From the very first time I stepped foot in our house I despised our pink bathroom. And after 4 years of living here, it did NOT grow on me….at all. Pink paint, brass, frilly lights; albeit very nice, it just wasn’t me or a house full of boys. So I FINALLY said peace out to the pink and welcomed in a much more ‘me bathroom.’

Nothing fancy and I love it! And Andy is happy I’ve stopped complaining!
Footnote: Andrew was my sidekick in this process. ‘Mommy, you ready for me to keep helping you?!’ ?

ROCK!
Andrew’s new favorite song courtesy of his car rides with Daddy to/from swim lessons…… As you can see we clearly have some ways to go on what to do when you have to blow your nose! #soembarrassing

Easter!
In case you wanted to know EXACTLY what Easter looked like with the boys!

Desperately trying to break into the candy! After some sugar highs, lows and much needed coffee for Mom and Dad, we got dressed up and headed to Ridgewood Country Club; Uncle Nathan and Aunt Andrea’s home away from home! A fantastic lunch- that I didn’t need to cook!

Happy Easter 2018!
