    The Power of Tylenol

After his shots Andrew has been running a low fever. But thanks to some Tylenol this morning he seems to be rallying back to his old self.

And now I need to figure out a way to keep him happy while I work…

Andrew received his 4 month shots today. His happy morning took a turn for the worse quickly. At least he got to play with the tissue paper in the doctors office first…

    Family Jeopardy

Most nights we watch Jeopardy. Tonight Andrew needed a little extra attention. ‘What is a needy baby, Alex?’

    Stimulation much?

A flashing duck, hanging rattle and dancing tucan all before 8:30am. Can’t say we don’t try to entertain the little man.

  • 4 Months!

    4 Months!

Andrew William is 4 months (and 2 days)! It’s amazing how so much love and happiness can be packed into a little person. Our little man is 15 lbs and 7 oz which puts him in the 65th percentile for weight. He is 26 3/4 inches tall and therefore toppling almost everyone in the 97th percentile. At his 4-month check-up the doctor was impressed by his growth, development and social skills. (Note to the doctor: My kid is advanced. I know this.) Andrew is sleeping through the night from 8pm until 4 am on most nights. After which he wakes up, eats and goes right back down until 6:30 or 7am. This is just enough sleep to keep mommy and daddy functioning like relatively normal people at work. Andrew wears 6 month sized clothes and his hair is starting to fill in. No more awkward baby patterned baldness.

Some highlights from the last month: Andrew logged 5,000 flight miles on his first plane ride and adventure to California. He’s rolled from his back to his tummy a few times and is rallying back from his first ear infection. He continues to love his play mat, swing and almost any adult making odd (fart-like) noises with their mouth. Andrew can grab and hold his rattle and toys (or beer cans on St. Patrick’s Day). He may actually even possess baby ninja reflexes. Andrew has an amazing ability to grab and pull my hair the instant it’s within reach. He talks up a storm, likes playing peek-a-boo and most assuredly has wrapped his parents around his little fingers.
