Sometimes Andrew just wants to sleep in our bed for comfort. At 5:30 am, I cave. I’m surrounded by Andrew Phillips’. No more room in the inn!

Break my heart
Andrew has been sick with another ear infection. This face is the saddest thing ever.
But give the kid a few rounds of Amoxicillin and he wakes up a new man. Back to school little buddy!

5 Months!
This post is a few days late but baby boy is 5 months! I can’t believe how fast time is moving and how quickly someone can grow and change. Don’t blink or you’ll miss it!
So what’s new with Andrew William at 5 months?! In the last 30 days Andrew has really improved his motor skills. He can easily grab and pick up his toys, put his wub (pacifier) in his own mouth and transfer objects from hand to hand. He’s truly mastered rolling from his back to his tummy. We timed it one morning- 3 seconds from touch down to turn over. He’s also showing a lot of interest in crawling and seems to be getting so close to making his moves. I’m convinced he picks it up from the older kids at school. And his feet- Andrew William has found his feet. He thinks they’re pretty great. Gotta love a free toy. He also has a new best friend- Sophie the Giraffe.
Andrew has also started eating food! Right now we’ve only tackled carrots and bananas, but things seem to be going well. He also enjoys his high chair and sitting at the table with mom and dad. Pretty soon the days of eating dinner on the couch while watching Jeopardy will be long gone for Andy and I. Time to set a good example for the little guy- ugh. He continues to really like school (thank goodness) and talks a lot. He wears 6-9 month clothes and weighs at least 16.5 lbs. We’ll have the official weigh-in next month at his doctor’s appointment. His sleep has taken a little nose dive in the last few weeks. Possible teething, ear infections, developmental milestones or just his love to torment his parents may be to blame. Oh well. I think we’re pretty lucky and if a few sleepless nights are the worst we have to complain about, I’ll take it! That’s why God invented make-up- to cover the circles under my eyes.

At the park
We stopped at the swings this morning during our walk in the park with Courtney and Austin. Not sure Andrew was a fan…

Budding sports fan
Andrew rolled from his back to his tummy to check out how the Yankees did against the O’s. He’s on the move. No leaving him alone anymore.
