After 3 awesome days in Iceland we recrossed the North Sea and headed to Norway. Thankfully the crossing was far smoother and more enjoyable than the first time. No violent seasickness episodes from the little guy.<\/p>\n

Day 9: Bergen, Norway.<\/strong> Much to Andy’s dismay, I signed he, Kelly and myself up for a hike up\u00a0Mt Fl\u00f8yen; the tallest mountain overlooking the city and surrounding fjords of Bergen. After a brief tour of the old Bergen waterfront, we boarded the\u00a0Fl\u00f8ibanen funicular and then the hike began. 2 hours or so and a lot of up hill later, we were at the top. A truly beautiful view and totally worth it…in my opinion!\u00a0\"7B1A5502\"<\/a> \"7B1A5504\"<\/a> \"7B1A5515\"<\/a> \"7B1A5523\"<\/a> \"IMG_1958\"<\/a> \"7B1A5529\"<\/a> \"IMG_5722\"<\/a> \"IMG_5748\"<\/a> \"IMG_5750\"<\/a> \"IMG_5165\"<\/a> \"IMG_5161\"<\/a>\u00a0Note: Andy’s smiling in these pictures because he knows his hike for 2016 is complete and I don’t have any leverage to get him up another mountain for six months.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile back in Bergen, Andrew, Coco and Papa toured Bergen and enjoyed a few local treats. Old City Bergen:\u00a0\"7B1A5542\"<\/a> \"7B1A5537\"<\/a> \"7B1A5535\"<\/a> \"7B1A5534\"<\/a>\"IMG_1961\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Day 10: Stavanger, Norway.<\/strong>\u00a0We started our morning with a cruise of\u00a0Lysefjord. Visiting the Norwegian fjords has always been on my bucket list. It was as beautiful as I’d pictured it but unfrotunately mother nature didn’t give us a great morning to take in the sites. After our cruise we stopped at a local farm,\u00a0Bakernes Paradis, \u00a0and enjoyed some\u00a0traditional Norwegian waffles; both Andrews favorite parts. \u00a0Once back in town, we took a nice stroll through the old city and grabbed some local lunch in the wharf. Much to our surprise and coincidence, our trip overlapped with the 25th anniversary of the reign of the King and Queen of Norway. To celebrate they were taking a national tour of Norway and just happened to be in Stavanger that day; and their yacht was docked next to our ship! We managed to grab a-never-would-be allowed-in-America- up close glimpse of the royal family as they strolled by. Unexpected, but still very cool!<\/p>\n
