One of the best things I did in Andrew’s first year was a monthly post tracking all the new, silly or interesting things the little man was up to. In year two I’ve decided to share quarterly updates so we can always look back and remember those important- but all too fleeting- milestones.
So here it is- 15 months (ish…I’m a little late!). Andrew is 33 3/4 inches tall, thus placing him above the 95% in height. Andy is so so proud. He weighs 23 lbs, 13 oz and in the 66% for weight and wears 18-24 mos size clothes. A healthy growing boy for sure! We are still BLESSED with a fantastic sleeper. Andrew is down to one afternoon nap a day (12-2 approximately). He also goes to bed between 7:15-8 pm and doesn’t wake until 6:30-7 am. No fussing, back rubbing or lullabies required. All he wants is his little elephant blanket and he’s good to go. Seriously, it’s AMAZING.
Andrew is a walker and budding runner. He’s very sturdy on his feet and has figured out how to navigate the stairs; both directions. He still LOVES wheels and pushing things around the house. He has a mild obsessions with books and his ‘wee-mote’ control car. He almost always has a car or truck in his hand. He’s all boy- no question. Andrew has also developed a fondness for his monkey stuffed animal affectionally called ‘key.’ But the true love of his life (besides mommy) is the Roomba or ‘ba’ as he calls it. He will literally follow the Roomba around for hours if we let him. Each morning he runs into our room to play with it. But I can’t complain; clean floors and happy baby.
He eats ‘adult’ food for all meals and some of his favorites are french toast, bananas applesauce, pizza, chicken nuggets, bread, yogurt, vanilla cookies, broccoli bites and spinach-kale juice (no judgement- he likes it and I’m going ride that wave as long as I can!). He’s not a fan of most fruit surprisingly.
Andrew spends his days at the Palmer School in Bernardsville, NJ. He loves his teacher Miss Anna and his best buddies are Austin Hogan and JP (from school). He still enjoys walks with mommy (and Austin), going to the playground and exploring. He’s a curious little fellow with a serious playful streak. He loves to be tickled, play hide and seek and just be with others. His speech is coming along slowly and we’re hoping the warmer weather will mean an end to his almost constant ear infections. Fingers crossed!
All told, we are some of the luckiest parents out there! It doesn’t get much better than this little man!
