9 Months!
Baby boy is 9 months old! Seems like just yesterday Andy and I were bringing him home from the hospital praying that we don’t break him. Well, we still pray that we don’t break him but we’re feeling slightly more confident in ourselves as parents.
This month Andrew weighs 20 lbs 6 oz and is in the 50% for weight. He’s 29 3/4 inches long placing him in the 75% for height. Andy was displeased to learn that his height percentage had taken a down turn from 98% to 75%. Perhaps those Kleinfelter genes are making an appearance. He has two little teeth (I think a few more are on the way!) that he uses to eat his two favorite foods; yogurt and puffs. He wears 12 month clothes and sleeps consistently through the night from 7:30 pm-6:30 am.
I think Andrew’s 9th month though is marked by mobility. He never stops. He’s become exceptionally good at crawling and zips around in his scooter like it’s the Daytona 500. Our house is slowly becoming a baby proof barricade of gates, chairs and boxes to contain him. He’s attracted to vents, outlets, cable boxes, shoes and the TV stand- basically all non-toys. He’s also begun to pull himself up to stand next to the coffee table, couch, his play table… anything really. He can even take a few steps when you hold his hands and he walks between your legs. I’m so happy to see him gain this independence and hit this new milestone, but boy are we tired at the end of the day.
Andrew has also made some strides with his communication this month. He’s started to say mama and ‘ba’ when he wants a bottle… though his banging on his high chair tray is also a pretty clear sign he wants food. He’s also started to wave hi and bye- though not consistently yet.
So many changes for such a little guy. Don’t blink or he’ll be off to kindergarten before we know it!

Fridays at the Park
Andrew and I stopped by the playground after school on Friday. He was indifferent on the swings but loved the slide!

When Roombas Attack
I told Andrew that the Roomba wasn’t a toy countless (!) times but he didn’t listen. So the other day I let him turn it on. You can see he was NOT a fan. Mean or not, he doesn’t accost the Roomba anymore. Baby safe. Lesson learned. #Mommywonthisround
