How to Keep a Toddler Busy

Step 1: Turn on your Roomba.

That’s it. Andrew is OBSESSED with the Roomba and refuses to let it out of his sight, even when it’s off. I’m not sure if it’s due to curiosity, excitement or even fear, but it works. Every time. It’s a triple win; I get dressed without him playing with shampoo, Drano, toilet paper, trash- basically all non toys in our bathroom, he gets to follow the Roomba and my floors get cleaned. #winning.

  • This morning

    This morning

Me: ‘Come on Andrew, lets take a picture and send it to Daddy.’

    Him: ‘Seriously mom? Again?!’

Him: ‘Ok, fine. Is this what you’re looking for? Cheese!’

There is a lot of attitude coming from this little man recently. I blame Andy.

    Ever wonder…

… Who actually uses those car shaped carts at the grocery store? It’s Andrew.

  • Winter storm Jonas

    Winter storm Jonas

30 inches of snow brought DC-NYC to a screeching hault! I don’t remember the last time this much snow fell in one storm. The up side- it all happened on a Saturday and it was a perfect excuse to hang out, put up our new tv and be a little lazy. The downside- we totally didn’t pay attention to the accumulation before it was too late. I was up at 4:30 am this morning trying to shovel us out. Between Andy and I, the John Deere and out pure determination not to be bested by the snow, we plowed ourselves out.

We shovled a path for the plow the whole length of our driveway. Ones driveway never looks so long as when you move 30 inches of snow. Oh- did I mention how sore we will be tomorrow?!

We look Andrew out for only a few minutes since he’s still recovering from Pneumonia. 10 minutes to get dressed to go outside, 5 minutes outside, 10 minutes to take all the clothes off again.

He wasn’t sure what to make of everything. Hopefullyy next time we can use the sled more and he’ll love it!

    SNO-M-G

We knew we’d get snow. We didn’t think we’d get this much snow. It’s been coming down for 20 hours and it’s almost as tall as Andrew. Little guy has no idea what’s going on.

    Pneumonia

Another first. 2016 is starting off with a bang for this guy. A trip to the doc and chest X-ray confirmed; Andrew has pneumonia.
