Andrew dropping some wisdom on his little bro. Lesson 1: ignore mom when she has the camera pointed in your face

    A fool’s errand ….

Getting them both to smile or even look at the camera together is proving quite the challenge. Exhibit A: tonight’s photo shoot

Thanks for letting us cool off in your pool on a hot Sunday, Uncle Pete and Aunt Judy!

  • What’s in a name?

    What’s in a name?

We’ve been teaching Andrew the idea of last names recently. He’s definitely catching on and will pretty consistently say ‘Phillips’ when you ask him his last name. He also understands that mommy has another name called Kristi and daddy has another name; Andy. So with all this understanding I thought it was a no-brainer when I asked what Teddy’s last name is. His response: ‘Bear.’ ? So according to Andrew Teddy’s full name is ‘Teddy Bear.’

Perhaps I should cut back from using my Teddy Bear nickname a bit!

    I gots skillz

Teddy’s eye- hand coordination and ability to grab things (especially my hair!) is really progressing! He’s really starting to love playing with rattles, shakers and anything he can grasp that makes noises. Look at that pride on his face!

    Memorial Day Memories

Two weeks ago Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for the long weekend! On Saturday they babysat the boys so we could attend a family wedding in PA all day. And on Sunday we visited the Great Swamp nursery to buy our garden vegetables and enjoyed some time soaking up the sun and relaxing on the back deck. Always great to spend some time together! The boys especially love time with their grandparents! ❤️

    LBI’s Newest Daycare

With Andy gone all week for work I decided to extend our weekend and enroll the boys in LBI’s newest daycare. Location: Papa and Coco’s house!

Papa and Coco have been entertaining the boys while I work during the day. They take walks, read books, play with race cars and run (!) with lawnmowers. But the real highlight; a visit from the garbage truck!  Who knew sanitation could be so exciting?!

LBI 2017 is off to the races!

Our first beach weekend of the season is underway!

Andrew seemed to really enjoy the beach especially collecting seashells, digging with shovels and chasing the waves! Mommy likes all the energy he burns! What you don’t see in these pictures is Andrew’s odd need to take off his bathing suit. Once the wave knocked him down he insisted on dropping his pants to take off his wet shorts. Day 1, I forced him to keep them on. Day 2, he strolled home without pants on. Modesty is clearly not in his vocabulary.

Andrew was also a fan of swimming in the hot tub with Papa and ‘really-laxing’ ?Teddy got in on the lounging too! And some more family fun and snuggles with Papa and Coco!
