We had a pretty fantastic weekend at the beach! The sun was shining, we went to the beach, hung out with our friends (with and without kids!), played in the sand, rode the jet skis and spun around on some rides at Fantasy Island! What more could you ask for?!?

BUC vs The Beach
While Andy travels a lot (!), most weeks its a day or two here or there. But each year in June, he has to attend in annual company user conference (affectionately referred to as BUC) in Chicago that lasts Monday- Friday. While I love my children with all of my being, that’s just a LONG time to be solo parenting; 5 breakfasts, 5 dinners, 5 baths, 5 lunches and lord knows how many irrational tantrums. So I decided to pack up the kids early Tuesday morning and head to the beach for some support. The boys had a great time at ‘Camp Coco’ while I worked. Who wouldn’t love long walks, trips to the playground, digging in the sand, riding bikes and being spoiled by your grandparents?!?

It wasn’t all fun and games. It was educational too! Like when Andrew learned the valuable life lesson from Papa on how to pour wine! ‘SLOWLY!’ ?

Spelunking
We traveled to Hershey, PA earlier this month to celebrate my Aunt Bonnie’s well deserved retirement (40 years!) from teaching. The drive was a little far for the boys so we decided to space out the time in the car and visit nearby Indian Echo Caverns. Andrew has been into caves recently- and by that I mean hanging out in the bathroom with the lights off and a flashlight. So it was a great little family outing that was right up his alley. Andrew lead the group and kept yelling ‘how cool is this?!?’ while Teddy was pointing at the rocks yelling ‘that!, that!’

Teddy Bear Clinic
The boys’ school hosted their annual ‘teddy bear clinic’ where the kids get to take part in caring for their stuffed friends. The goal is to demystify the doctor and help them become more comfortable. Mommy was in charge of X-rays and Coco was in charge of giving vaccines. So cute! And so happy Coco is back from Florida so she can join! ❤️

Teddy: 15 Months!
Teddy Bear passed his 15 mos check up with flying colors. He is officially 31 1/4 inches long and in the 50%. He weighs 25 lbs 9 oz which puts him in the 85%!

For those wondering, Teddy is 2 1/2 inches SHORTER than his brother at the same age, though he weighs 2 lbs more. Not surprisingly because he eats more for breakfast than his brother does in a day. 🙂
