    Palmer School Pageant

The annual Palmer School Christmas pageant! I’m proud to say that neither boy cried (which meant I didn’t have to go on stage) AND they were some of the cutest singers up there!

Teddy sang ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ and ‘Jingle Bells’

Andrew’s class sang the ‘Dreidel’ and ‘Santa Hurry Up.’ They also did the most adorable reenactment of the ‘Night Before Christmas.’ Andrew played the all important part of Prancer.

    Cookies & Gingerbread!

With Papa, Coco and Aunt Kiki in town for the birthday party, we seized the opportunity to make some Sandtart cookies; a Kleinfelter family tradition!

    Fire Trucks & Four

We officially celebrated four with a belated joint birthday party for Andrew and Austin at the fire station last weekend! The kids learned all about fire trucks and their gear from the firemen, they got to spray the hose and the grand finale; a ride in the fire truck! My boys were in their glory!

    Happy 4th birthday Andrew!

  • ‘O Christmas Tree

    ‘O Christmas Tree

The story of our 2018 Christmas tree….

We head to the Christmas tree farm. Lots of boys running free through the trees. Minus my ability to take a nice picture, things are going great!

On the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree…

Our tree is found and now it’s time to cut. This year we decided to race; moms vs. dads. I’m proud to say that the mom’s win even though the dad’s contested our victory!

Tree is home and now it’s time to put it up. A broken stand, a new stand, a new broken stand, a 3rd stand and then this…. the epitome of a last ditch effort to get it to fit. Yes, that’s a chainsaw in my living room.

2 days, 3 stands and I don’t want to think about how many hours…but it’s up! Merry Christmas! Thank god we only do this once a year!

  • Our visit with Santa

    Our visit with Santa

We made our annual pilgrimage to visit Santa this afternoon. Instead of the traditional mall Santa we decided to try the Santa in Madison, a few towns away. Santa is sponsored by the town and I’d heard great things. And the best part- it’s next to the train station. So, we got spiffed up, hopped on the train and rode the rails to visit Santa. The 8 minute ride on New Jersey Transit made their day!

    Train excitement!

Once we arrived there was a cute little village to visit before seeing the big man himself.

Almost time….so much excitement and a little peeking!

And the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Andrew had no fear and Teddy was all fear!

    Merry Christmas 2018!

    Culprit

Somebody stole my phone. I’ll give you 3 guesses on who the culprit might be…

  • Bundled Up & Exploring!

    Bundled Up & Exploring!

It’s winter! But we’re tying not to let the chillier temps keep us inside. We walked to the new playground that’s been under renovation for the last few months to see the progress. Soon!

In the interim Andrew is perfectly content climbing the giant piles of dirt!

Please note my GIANT mom win- 2 kids, 2 hats and 4 gloves ON! #goldmedal

  • Call him Oscar

    Call him Oscar

Teddy is pretty decidedly NOT a morning person. He’s quite grouchy whenever he wakes up so don’t even think of talking to him or worse- trying to play with him! ?This sums it up perfectly.

  • Turkey Day 2018!

    Turkey Day 2018!

We hosted our first Thanksgiving at Chez Phillips for the Phillips and Sullivan clans! I was admittedly nervous since it was the first time I’d EVER cooked a turkey, let alone on Thanksgiving, but…. with the help of the internet, my mom, super helpful guests bringing all sorts of delicious side dishes and a trusty Excel spreadsheet (yes, I’m crazy but it works for us), things went off without a hitch!

The prep, from tables to beds to food, started early. I hate leaving things to the last minute and wanted to actually enjoy our family. Andy and Andrew even got in on the mix helping make breadcrumbs for stuffing. I’m pretty sure Andrew ate a piece of bread for everyone he tore up.

    Ready for cousins!

Shockingly we were ready EARLY! So Andy and I snuck off to enjoy a quiet drink without kids and before the craze of the holiday weekend. I think it’s a tradition we should keep. 😉

And then the holiday fun began!

We capped off our Thanksgiving weekend off with (a broken kitchen sink. ugh) and ride on the train to the park!

    HAPPY TURKEY DAY 2018!
