From Andy’s old college trunk to our coffee table. Just add a few furniture legs and voila!

What were we listening to?
My grand ambition is that this blog will help document our growing family for years to come with pictures, videos and commentary about our everyday life. Years from now my hope is that we can look back, smile and laugh at ourselves the same way I laugh at this fantastic display of early 80’s awesomeness.

On that note, almost without fail you can count on Andrew for two things at this point; 1) to kick, punch and move around without abandon in my tummy and then go completely still when Andy puts his hand on my stomach for a feel. And 2) to dance around in utero when music- particularly house music- comes on. So what were we listening to this summer? ‘Jealous’ by Chromeo was deemed our song of the summer and one that always seemed to make baby Andrew (and Mom of course…) move around.

Baby Shower!
On September 6th Grandmas Connie and Diane, along with Aunt Kelly and Aunt Cathy, threw me a beautiful baby shower at our new house. It was an awesome celebration for our growing family that left me speechless with all the love and affection we were showed. Thank you to all who came from near and far! Baby Andrew is already so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community of family and friends.

Thank you to my gracious hostesses!
Sisters! (And Charlotte!)

Babymoon!
To celebrate our first year as Mr. And Mrs. and have one last splurge before baby arrives, we took a little trip to the southwest (and work was sending us both out there so it was free!). Here are some pics from the trip. More to come soon!
Lunch! A must for the west coast.

Morning hike in Sedona, AZ. Not bad for 31 weeks pregnant. -

One man’s trash….
Moving from this:
Needless to say a 4,000+ square foot house left us with a lot of house and few things to fill it with when we first arrived. Over the last few months I’ve been transforming hand-me-down pieces from our family into our very own. It may not be HGTV or Pinterest worthy but I’m quite proud of my handy work if I do say so myself.Project 1: Kristi’s Desk
Courtesy of Diane’s basement and her desire and love of cleaning out!

The biggest project yet. Still getting up the guts to tackle these monsters. May need to call in some reinforcements to help.
